Oulton Park 3rd June 2008

This is my car waiting to go out on track, sharing with an Aerial Atom and a BMW M3 CSL
This is my first attempt at in car camera, not great but you get the idea.  The combination of road tyres and low talent speak for themselves, although I was keeping up with the pack of Subaru WRX, 911 GT3 etc.  Suppose I should stop chatting and pay more attention to going faster.
This is why you dont use new road tyres on the track, I had no choice due to a wheel problem but you can see that only 50% at best is in contact with the track, after 4 or 5 laps they were over heating badly.
This is me and Trev in my car on the back straight.  It was under a red flag so no problems with safety, we were only doing 40mph at most.

This is the output from my datalogger (which of course was not really connected) my fastest time was 2m 14s which is not very fast but my max speed was 114.3 and I managed to get a cornering G force of 1.08.  It looks slow on the video, but it doesnt feel it in the car.

Very rare Mk1 Ford Escort RS1600, he was flying all day
This was the Atom I shared a garage with, managed to get a passenger lap.  The fastest thing I have ever been in, at 80mph the wind was trying to rip my crash helmet off :)
I got a passenger lap in this Lotus too, very fast and grips like sh*t on a blanket apart from one tricky moment when it got loose at the chicane (see video).  My camera was set up all wrong, but you can see the good recovery he made.
